The Summer Solstice

There is one day in the summer of each year when the Earth's axis is tilted directly towards the sun. This year, that day falls on the twenty-first of June.

On June 21, 2003, the world will experience the wonderful phenomenon that is known as the Summer Solstice. Latin in origin, the word solstice means "sun standing still." On this day, the Summer Solstice, the time elapsed between sunrise and sunset is at it's maximum. Simply said, it's the one day in the year that the sun will shine the longest, and the sun will shine the most.

We're going to marry each other on the first day of Summer.
The Summer Solstice. June 21st, 2003.
We couldn't imagine the celebration on any other day.

Sunshine, do your stuff.
